Have you noticed that mobiles have become the new addiction?

Mariana I wrote this interesting short article.

What I mean is that when people are alone, or have time in their hands, or ar waiting for sthg, they now turn to their mobiles for rescue! In the old times it used to be cigarettes.

I remember I used to envy smokers who could play endessly with their lighters and their cigarette packs and the smoke they throw up in the air! But these days what I see more and more is people checking their mobiles and blackberries for messages, opening and closing their devices in an unconscious, repeated reaction.

My conclusion is that people need to have sthg in their hands to feel secure. At least mobile devices are a healthier alternative! I admit I also turn to my mobile when I have nothing else to do, even when I do not NEED to.
